The Tuckahoe Inn is one of the most classic must-visit dining places in the Jersey shore area. With stunning sunset views over the Greate Egg Harbor Bay, dining here will provide you with a unforgettable evening experience for you and your party. The inn has five dining locations. The first is the bar area, then there is the main dining room and the porch dining area. Lastly there is a private/smaller dining room for a more intimate dining experience. The fifth location is the deck. Located outdoors it combines great food with a bar and great views overlooking the bay. Musical entertainment is provided in both the bar and on the deck. The only negatives to the inn is the noise level, the large lack of parking and sometimes the wait staff forget about your table for a little due to all the other tables they have to serve. That being said everyone should experience this amazing and historic inn!!

Will be back again hopefully they will be open earlier for the Triathlon next year or at least off coffee and tea to participants in return for being promoted.

We made a reservation for Thanksgiving dinner last night for eight. The place was packed, as expected. We were seated within fifteen minutes of arriving and ordered shortly after. Service was quick and efficient, though a bit pushy at times. I guess given the amount of people they had probably gone through it was understandable.

Came here for the Tuckahoe Triathlon. I was slightly disappointed to see the only food establishment kept to their regular hours instead of opening early for onlookers and participants. Even just opening or offering a coffee and tea stand across the street would have been great business. Especially when the race tells/ recommends reservations for after the event.

Nice relaxing atmosphere. Good food and nice drinks. Awesome during the summer on the deck.

Worst customer service at a bar I've ever had. Waited 30 minutes to get a drink and the bar was practically empty. Drinks were poorly made. Could not even get a waitress' attention for over an hour, so we left. You'd expect a place that's right by the water with a great view to do better than this. Don't waste your time here.

The appetizers consisted of shrimp cocktail and clams casino. They were tasty. The salads, ceasar or balsamic, were lame. The balsamic was watery and the ceasar tasted like mayonnaise. The main entree's were not much better. Three of us ordered prime rib. It was Luke warm, chewy, and very fatty. Two ordered crab cakes, again they were served chilly. The seafood combo was greasy and the scallops tasted off, a very distinct iodine taste. The lobster was chewy. The flounder was mushy. An order if salmon was fair, but again, served cool. The chicken tenders were decent at least. On the side if each meal were disgusting mashed potatoes. They were over cooked, watered down, tasteless mush. The green beans were decent. Dessert was fair.

I did walk across the street once they opened and easily made a reservation. To my surprise when we were done at the try they weren't packed. Missed opportunity in my opinion since this is my industry and expertise.

I'm really not one to complain. I'm not hard to please. But eight of us left very dissatisfied and angry that we basically paid for garbage. The Tuckahoe Inn is a local favorite, a staple if you will. You always hear good things about the place. After this experience we will not be returning. There are to many great places to eat in the area.

The positive by far was the waitress Brooked. She was extremely outgoing, friendly and inviting when we sat down. She was also very attentive and accommodating. The food was pretty good too we had a vegetarian omelette that was packed with fresh veggies and the sausage and biscuits. Both dishes were very filling.
